This comprehensive, 12-week course prepares students to take the Certified Legal Assistant (CLA) examination that is offered by the National Association of Legal Assistants (NALA) (www.nala.org).

This course is designed for anyone in the paralegal field who wants to augment their status with additional professional credentials. Whether you are a seasoned paralegal or legal assistant, or have just graduated from a paralegal certificate program, this course is the perfect way to prepare for the CLA exam in a thorough and comprehensive manner.

This course is a perfect follow-up to WOLI's American Legal System Paralegal Certificate Program or Master Paralegal Certificate Program. Enrollment is open to anyone, however.

Please Note: The CLA examination is purely optional. You do not need to take this exam in order to work as a paralegal. For more information, please contact our Student Affairs office toll-free at 800-371-5581 or via email at studentaffairs@woli.edu.

The following topics, which are included in the CLA examination, will be covered: legal terminology; communications; ethics; judgment and analytical ability; legal research; human relations and interviewing skills; and substantive law.

Included in the course are two weeks of study time prior to the exam during which you will have full access to the online classroom and your attorney instructor. Students will be fully prepared to take the CLA exam with confidence after completing this CLA prep course.
